Pole Barn Insulation Baffles
A Soffit Vent is a vent located at the base of a roof outside a building. A soffit usually directs airflow out of the house towards the exterior. Some soffits have insulation or screens to limit wind-driven rainfall intrusion. Others may have insulation just for convenience as well, which can be found in an appropriately insulated attic.
What do Insulation Baffles Do? They keep heat and moisture out of the attic and help prevent insulation from clogging ventilations. Baffles, no matter what type of insulation you choose, are crucial to the performance of your attic.
Baffles provide a barrier between the conditioned space and unconditioned area which prevents insulation from going into unwanted spaces such as walls or exterior of home. Baffles also allow for airflow to continue while maintaining an insulated space at all times with baffles installed correctly under raised floors or joists in attic and roof areas.
